For garden, terrace or beach receptions, a warm afro house set while guests gather as the light goes. It is agreed in advance as an extended booking, so say early if you want her there before dark as well as for the after-party.

Your day DJ or band plays through to the first dance. At a time agreed with your planner, DJ Kim takes over with melodic techno and afro house, chosen live off the floor, and the set is shaped to finish before the venue's music curfew.
DJ in London →What the venue and planner provide
The rider: 2 × Pioneer CDJ-3000 and a DJM-A9, two booth monitors, and no drinks, smoke or CO2 directed at the booth. She plays from USB, no laptop. For weddings outside London, travel and a minimum 4-star hotel are covered for DJ Kim and her manager.

A typical wedding DJ covers drinks, dinner background music, announcements, the first dance and the evening dance floor. DJ Kim plays only the late-night part: the dance floor after the formalities and the after-party, plus an earlier sunset set by agreement. She is not an MC or a requests DJ.
What affects wedding DJ cost for an evening or after-party set?
DJ Kim's fee is quoted per booking, not published. It depends on the date, the city, the set length, whether you add a sunset set, travel and a hotel for her and her manager outside London, and whether the venue already has the rider equipment. For market ranges, see the DJ hire cost guide.
How long does a wedding DJ play for?
An all-day UK wedding DJ often plays five to six hours, from the drinks reception to the venue curfew. DJ Kim's after-party set is agreed in advance: her club sets run 60 to 120 minutes, and longer sets are possible by agreement, timed to finish before the venue's music curfew.
Do we still need another DJ or band if we book DJ Kim?
Usually, yes. Someone needs to cover ceremony music, dinner, speeches, the first dance and any announcements, and for Indian weddings the sangeet and Bollywood sets. DJ Kim then takes over for the late-night floor. Ask your day DJ or band to agree the handover time with your planner.
What time should the after-party DJ start at a wedding?
As soon as the formal part ends, usually after the first dance and cake. Many UK venues have a midnight or 1am music curfew, so work back from it to leave room for a full set. The rider equipment should be set up and checked before the handover, so agree changeover time with the venue.
Is DJ Kim a wedding DJ in London only, or abroad too?
