Kids' parties, an 18th run as a disco, karaoke, or a wedding-style set driven by guest requests are better served by a mobile party DJ. DJ Kim plays melodic techno and afro house only, so she is the right booking when that is the sound you want all night.

The rider: 2 × Pioneer CDJ-3000 and a DJM-A9, two booth monitors and a sound system suited to the space, hired in if the venue has none. For dates outside London, travel and a hotel for DJ Kim and her manager.

ANSWERED PLAINLYHow much does a birthday party DJ cost?
DJ Kim's fees are quoted per booking rather than published. The quote depends on the date, the city, the set length and any travel, plus whether the venue already has the rider equipment. Send those details and you will have an answer within two working days.
Can the set run from arrival to the end of the party?
It depends on the night you have planned. Her club sets usually run 60 to 120 minutes, and extended sets that carry a birthday from arrival through to the finish can be agreed in advance, shaped around your venue's curfew and sound limits.
How far in advance should I book a DJ for a 40th or 50th birthday?
As early as you can once the date and venue are fixed. She takes worldwide bookings and 2026 dates are limited, while 2027 is open, so weekend and festive dates are the first to go. An enquiry costs nothing and gets a reply within two working days.
Can I give the DJ a playlist for my birthday?
Not a track-by-track playlist. DJ Kim selects every record live from melodic techno and afro house, reading your guests as the night goes. Tell her the mood you want and anything to avoid, and she will shape the set around it.
Can DJ Kim play a 40th or 50th at our home?
Yes, if the space suits a club-grade set: room to dance, the rider equipment (2 × CDJ-3000, DJM-A9, booth monitors) and a sound system sized to the room, which can be hired in. Check neighbour and noise limits before you enquire.
